Les Bernard jewellery brand grew out of Vogue founded in 1936 by Harold Shapiro.
The Shapiro family sold their share of Vogue in 1962 and the son Harold Bernard and designer Lester Joy opened up a new company called Les Bernard Inc in 1963. Known as pioneers of high-class designer costume jewellery creating impressive striking pieces. With styles from as far back as the art deco period they often created impressive pieces for the TV series Dynasty.
The brand ceased to exist in 1996.
