Sphinx is an English jewellery company founded in 1948. They became famous for their exquisite costume jewellery of high quality. In fact the quality was so great that they exclusively produced jewellery for brands such as Kenneth J Lane, Butler and Wilson and Saks 5th Avenue amongst many more. Signed Sphinx jewellery only appeared from the beginning of the 1960s and today Sphinx signed pieces are highly collectible.
